Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA)

On April 9, 2018 the Arizona Supreme Court determined that Arizona colleges are not permitted to grant in-state tuition rates to DACA recipients. Under the Arizona Supreme Court ruling, students who live in Arizona under the federal Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program, or DACA, are required to pay the Arizona non-resident tuition rate. DACA students should refer to the non-resident per credit hour tuition rate published on the Coconino Community College's Tuition page.

The CCC Foundation offers scholarships from private donors for DACA students. The CCC Foundation also has scholarships that any student can apply for regardless of immigration status, of which, DACA students may qualify. These scholarships are exclusively from private donors and no college, state or federal monies are used. The CCC Foundation scholarship application is available from late December through mid-March of each year at Coconino Foundation Scholarship Page.

DACA students are not eligible for Federal Financial Aid, which includes Pell Grants, Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant, Federal Direct Student Loans, and Federal Work Study. For more information on this please visit the Financial Aid and Undocumented Students PDF from the Department of Education.
