• Do you have a computer at home?
• Do you have reliable internet access?
• Do you know your Comet ID and your password?
• Can you open a variety of files on your computer that would likely be used in your class?
• Are you self-disciplined and motivated?
• Do you have enough time to commit to your course?

Tips for Success

• Schedule a weekly time slot for your online class.
• Login early, study the syllabus and explore the class structure and materials.
• Review the materials and complete assignments EARLY.
• Communicate effectively with your instructor.
• Stay current!
• Get help when you need it.

How do I login to Canvas?

You can login to Canvas through the myCCC Student Portal. The link for myCCC can be found on the CCC website, or by going to  https://myccc.coconino.edu.

Proctorio Information

CCC is committed to student success and academic integrity in our online and hybrid courses. Although CCC has proctored exams in-person for years, we began piloting a process to proctor exams online beginning in Summer 2018. During the coronavirus shutdown in 2020, Proctorio became a useful tool for faculty forced to deliver exams remotely. 

Proctorio resources can be found in the   Academic Integrity section of the Ultimate Guide to Remote Learning .

How do I send my instructor a question

Canvas has a robust communication system built in. You can learn how to use it on the  What is Conversations? page. 

When will my classes appear in Canvas?

Your courses will not appear on your Canvas Dashboard until the Friday before classes begin. If you don’t see your courses on the first day of class, you may need to update your favorite courses.  This guide explains how to favorite a course . If you still don’t see your courses please contact Registration .

How do I get additional help or report a problem?

In Canvas, click on the “Help” icon and then select “Report a Problem.” Please provide a detailed description of the problem. All communications will be directed to your default email address in Canvas. Learn more about setting your   default email address .

The ITS Help Desk can assist with many issues with Canvas. They can be found near the Computer Labs on the Lone Tree and Fourth Street Campuses.

The Distance Learning department provides a Teaching and Learning Center (TLC) for faculty to get help implementing technology in their courses.

How do I access Quality Matters?

CCC faculty and staff can use CCC's membership to access MyQM  and create an account . Once logged in, you can register for training, access the Quality Matters rubric for online course design, and much more.

•  Make sure you've entered zeros for all work that was not turned in.
•  Unmute any muted assignments.
•  Use the gradebook to send messages to students who haven't turned in work.
