FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. — For the second consecutive year, Coconino Community College (CCC) has been named one of the 2026 Most Promising Places to Work in Community Colleges by The EDU Ledger in partnership with the National Institute for Staff and Organizational Development (NISOD). The national recognition highlights institutions that demonstrate excellence in staffing practices and workplace culture.

Institutions are selected through a research‑based evaluation that examines key areas including family friendliness, salary and benefits, community engagement, and professional development opportunities for faculty and staff.

“Being named one of the Most Promising Places to Work in Community Colleges for a second consecutive year reflects the continued progress we’ve made in strengthening our workplace culture,” said Dr. Adriana Flores‑Church, Vice President of Human Resources at Coconino Community College. “We’ve been intentional about creating an environment where employees feel supported, connected to purpose, and empowered to contribute. This recognition belongs to our faculty and staff, whose daily commitment makes CCC a place where both employees and students can succeed.”

CCC was one of 27 community colleges nationwide selected for the 2026 list. Honorees will be featured in the May 7 edition of The EDU Ledger.

The formal recognition will be presented during the 48th Annual NISOD Conference: Advancing Community College Student Engagement, held May 23–26 in Austin, Texas.
