What is Write On? Write On is a series of workshops to help students throughout the writing process, from the time they are assigned a paper until the day they hand in their final draft. Each workshop focuses on some part of the writing process; topics include: pre-writing, research skills, citations, outlining and organization, rough drafts, editing, and final revisions.
Advanced Outlining and Organizing, Rough Drafts
This workshop will discuss the best kept secret to successful paper writing: strong outlines. Once you have your research, the next step is to organize your information into an outline and then a rough draft. The more detailed your outline, the easier your paper will be to write! CCC English tutors will guide you through the steps of outlining your ideas and beginning to write your paper. Students are encouraged to bring any upcoming writing, or other research, assignments to work on during the workshop.
