Before the Dilemma
Leaders who wait until they face a moral dilemma to define their values are setting themselves up for failure. In this class, we will work through an exercise designed to help leaders identify and define their own personal value systems so that they can then go and test them prior to facing their next dilemma. The professor will illuminate the importance of having a fully-articulated set of personal values using an example of a kinetic situation he faced during a combat situation while in Iraq. All students should walk away from this class with several personal values identified and the knowledge necessary to create a complete set of values over time.
