Congratulations to the Class of 2023!
It's time to recognize the accomplishments of students who completed a degree or certificate in Fall 2022, or who have an active graduation application for Spring or Summer 2023. CCC is excited to celebrate your achievement; keep an eye on your CCC student email (@students.coconino.edu) for direct communication regarding all things commencement.
CCC will hold two ceremonies on May 12, 2023:
- 10AM - graduates/candidates in an Arts & Sciences Program
- 2PM - graduates/candidates in a Career & Technical Education Program

Campus Map & Directions
Commencement is held in the V. Philip Tullar Commons at the Flagstaff Lone Tree Campus. Parking will be free and open to the public.

Northern Arizona University will also be holding commencement ceremonies on Friday, May 12, 2023. To help the flow of traffic, the suggested route in and out of the CCC Lone Tree campus is Lake Mary Road - JW Powell - Lone Tree.
How do I know if I'm eligible to participate?
If you are a previous graduate:
- Fall 2022
CCC sent your diploma(s) to the mailing address you had on file with the College at the time you graduated. You can also view previously awarded degrees and certificates by logging in to myCCC and viewing your unofficial transcript or Degree Works (check under "Grad Status" listed under your name and student ID number).
If you are a current applicant for graduation:
- Spring 2023, Summer 2023
CCC sent email notifications to your student email address (@students.coconino.edu). You can also view your application status by logging in to myCCC and viewing Degree Works - check under "Grad Status" listed under your name and student ID number.
Do I have to apply to graduate?
No. If you are a previous graduate (Fall 2022), CCC sent your diploma(s) to the mailing address you had on file with the College at the time you graduated. If you are a current applicant for graduation (Spring 2023 or Summer 2023) CCC sent email notifications to your student email address (@students.coconino.edu).
You can also view your previous degree or current application status by logging in to myCCC and viewing Degree Works - check under "Grad Status" listed under your name and student ID number.
- "Cleared to Graduate" - means a degree has been awarded
- "Applied to Graduate" - means you have an active application
If you don't see anything listed, and you have completed/will complete a degree/certificate no later than Summer 2023, please contact your Advisor or Registration & Enrollment Services.
I'm receiving information about commencement, but I'm not finished with my degree yet.
Students are often enrolled in degree programs that have embedded certificates - like an AA degree with an AGEC certificate, or a Pre-Health Careers AAS degree with a Pre-Health Certificate. It's likely that you have completed the certificate requirements on the way to completing your degree - congrats! Milestone achieved!

How do I know which ceremony to attend?
The commencement invitation sent to your @students.coconino.edu email address listed the ceremony time associated with your degree/certificate program. You can also view the list of Arts & Sciences programs and Career & Technical Education programs at the bottom of this web page.
What time do I need to arrive?
Students participating in the 10AM Arts & Sciences program ceremony should plan to arrive at the Lone Tree Campus at 9AM to check-in.
Students participating in the 2PM Career & Technical Education program ceremony should plan to arrive at the Lone Tree Campus at 1PM to check-in.
Where do I get my cap and gown?
The Bookstore at the Lone Tree campus has caps, gowns, tassels, and other assorted graduation items available for purchase.

Will there be a photographer at the ceremony?

Will the ceremony be streamed or recorded?
Yes. The ceremony will be live streamed on YouTube and recorded there.
When will I receive my diploma?
All graduates will receive their diplomas through the U.S. Postal Service shortly after the following print dates:
- Fall 2022 - February 1, 2023
- Spring 2023 - June 1, 2023
- Summer 2023 - August 31, 2023
If you are a candidate for Spring 2023 or Summer 2023 graduation, make sure to verify and/or update your mailing address on student self-service , this is where we will mail your diploma.
PTK, TRIO, and Veteran Graduates
If you are a graduating member of PTK or TRIO, or are a graduating Veteran, the College recognizes your membership in these groups as part of the commencement ceremony. PTK, TRIO and Veteran graduates wear cords with their regalia (cap and gown).
PTK - PTK cords can be purchased from the PTK member shop. if you have any questions, please contact your PTK Advisors.
TRIO - current and past TRIO graduates can come to the TRIO office and see any TRIO advisor to pick up their TRIO Cords. You will be asked to to complete a short 5 minute Exit Interview at that time. Veterans - receive a red, white and blue cord to wear prior to the ceremony. Students will be sent an email regarding a Student Awards Ceremony event that occurs a few weeks before commencement. If you are not able to receive your cord at the Student Awards Ceremony, then you can find us at the Veterans center prior to commencement and we will provide one to you at that time.
