This hands-on canning class will review the basics of home canning, including tips on ensuring food safety and a quality canned product. Students will practice canning techniques and will take home their products. The class includes a take-home canning guide book.
This program is offered in partnership with the University of Arizona Coconino Cooperative Extension. Christy Stuth is a certified Master Food Preserver, who teaches classes on many aspects of food preservation and safety including refrigeration and freezing, dehydrating, and canning.
