Introduction to computer programming for scientists, engineers, and mathematicians in MATLAB. Guided use of algorithms and structured programming to solve practical problems in applied engineering and science. Prerequisite: MAT 151 or placement beyond prerequisite. Two lecture. Three lab. Pre-requisite or  Co-requisite:  MAT 187 Pre-Calculus .  Fundamentals of graphical communications, including sketching, computer-aided drafting, design, and parametric modeling. Three Lecture.  Three Lab.

Electrical Engineering I

Pre-requisites or Co-requisites: MAT 220.  Introduces electrical engineering including DC and AC circuit analysis, operational amplifiers, transducers, transformers, and AC power.  Simulation of simple circuits using circuit analysis software. Three lecture, Two lab.

Pre-requisites:  EGR 122, EGR 110.  Pre or Co-requisites CIS 215 or CIS 220, and MAT 220 (Calc I).  Theory, design, and applications of microprocessors and microprocessor-based computers and systems; programming techniques for microcomputers; commercial microprocessors and semiconductor memory systems. 3 lecture, 3 lab. Letter grade only.
