Curios - A Community Publication
- Last Updated: Saturday, 22 September 2018 19:54
MISSION: Curios fosters the breadth of creative expressions across our northern Arizona community by providing publication opportunities to local writers and artists. The magazine is produced annually by Coconino Community College students enrolled in COM 181, with the guidance of CCC faculty and staff.
This year’s edition showcases work from local high schools, detention facilities, Coconino Community College and Northern Arizona University, as well as a multitude of local talented writers and artists who sacrifice daily to create and share their art.
Also new this year is the launch of an improved website (curiosmagazine.org) that will highlight interviews of selected artists, called Tiki Talks, as a way to offer insights into the craft and inspiration behind the published works.
The theme this year is: TRIBE
In this edition, we examine the definition of a social tribe. What constitutes a social tribe? How is it formed? Surprise us!
We are accepting original works in the following categories:
- Fiction: Short stories up to 750 words
- Poetry: Up to three poems per poet
- Art: High resolution images (300 dpi) of any artwork
First deadline for submissions: December 16, 2018.
Upon receipt you will receive a confirmation e-mail with instructions on how to finalize your submission.
