New faculty at CCC are required to attend New Faculty Orientation prior to the first day of the semester. This orientation provides an overview of information that new faculty need to have prior to the first day of instruction at Coconino Community College. If you are hired after New Faculty Orientation you will be required to make an appointment to review the necessary information with the Professional Development Coordinator as soon as possible.
As a new faculty person you will also be assigned a mentor from your discipline to help guide you in your first semester. (See New Faculty Mentoring Program in Table of Contents on your left). It is also essential that as a new faculty person you understand the Web 4 faculty system and how to access your college e-mail. Your contact resources and guidance for Web 4 faculty assistance can be found in the Teaching and Learning Center, in Room 458. If you have forgotten a password, need to reset up your email or are having technical difficulties with the system you should contact the help desk @ 226-HELP(4380).
CCC has an extensive Professional Development Library housed in the Teaching and Learning Center (Room 458) as well as a fledgling teacher resource library in the Associate Faculty Workroom. Currently, these materials can be checked out for one semester by signing out the materials out in the check out binder. Please feel free to visit with us in the Teaching and Learning Center (Room 458) at anytime throughout the semester. If you have specific questions, always feel free to contact Professional Development Coordinator @ 226-4380, or your mentor who will be assigned to you at the beginning of the semester. We are here to help. Welcome to the college!
