Shared Institutional Objectives

1.  By September 30, 2009, to increase the distance learning mathematics course completion rate from 61% in 2002-03 to 75% in 2008-09 at CCC and from 48% in 2002-03 to 75% in 2008-09 at NPC by increasing student use of online tutoring and supplemental instructional modules. 

2.  By September 30, 2009, to increase the distance learning English course completion rate from 50% in 2002-03 to 75% in 2008-09 at CCC and from 53% in 2002-03 to 75% in 2008-09 at NPC by increasing student use of online bibliographic databases and supplemental instructional modules. 

3.  By September 30, 2009, to increase the percentage of students demonstrating acceptable levels of research in distance learning English/liberal arts courses (as determined by English faculty assessment of student work using standard rubrics) from 60% in 2002-03 to 80% in 2008-09 at both colleges by delivering full-text and image research articles and library-based supplemental instructional modules.

4.  By September 30, 2009, to increase the distance learning developmental education course completion rate from 50% in 2002-03 to 65% in 2008-09 at CCC and from 31% in 2002-03 to 48% in 2008-09 at NPC by increasing student use of online tutoring and supplemental instructional modules. 

5.  By September 30, 2009, to increase the fall-to-fall persistence rate of distant learning students from 34% in 2002-03 to 49% in 2008-09 at CCC and from 31% in 2002-03 to 46% in 2008-09 at NPC by implementing online orientation, advising, and career planning services.

6.  By September 30, 2009, to increase the number of online degrees available at each college from zero in 2002-03 to four in 2008-09.
