This is a Learning Objective describing the step-by-step process of writing a research paper. The first part is an 8-step process to find a topic and begin to formulate a thesis. The second part is a Critical Reading Guideline. The third part is a Research Paper Guideline; it consists of a structural outline, and also includes sample introduction, body and conclusion paragraphs. The fourth part is a sample student research paper with explanatory comments showing the research paper structural and thematic development.
The Learning Object is provided in two formats, a single page with all four parts together and a format with each part on it's own.
