All vehicles parked on the Lone Tree Campus or the 4th ST Campus must have a current CCC parking permit.

You can purchase your permit at the cashiers (8am to 5pm) but will have to bring your receipt and completed form to the Security counter to be issued your permit. (Lone Tree Campus 7am to 10pm Monday - Friday) (4th St Campus 7am to 10pm Monday - Thursday)

We do not look up previous years vehicle information, be sure to bring it with you.

Purchasing a permit is the first step, it must be attached to your vehicle in the proper location for it to be valid.

GENERAL PARKING PERMIT INFORMATION

All staff, faculty members and students who park a vehicle on the campus will be required to register their vehicle(s) and display a valid parking permit. It is the responsibility of all persons who are issued a parking permit, to read, understand and comply with parking and traffic regulations. Please know in advance that these regulations will be enforced. Citations issued will be recorded, and a hold will be placed on your account for the amount due until paid. This means you will not be able to register for future classes or receive transcripts. Employees will have their paychecks garnished.  Additionally, outstanding fines will be referred to collection.

All regular permits issued are valid for a single academic year. The academic year starts on the first day of class in August and continues until the following August.

The following is general information and is not intended to completely represent all parking and traffic regulations. A complete copy of the parking regulations is available upon request at Security.

Proper Display of Single Vehicle Permits – For a single vehicle permit to be considered “Properly Displayed”, the permit must be permanently attached to the inside of the windshield, not just left lying on the dash. All single vehicle permits have adhesive on the face of the permit to facilitate proper application of the permit. Remove the covering and place the permit in the lower, passenger side of the front windshield. Make certain the permit is placed just above, or directly below the windshield wiper blade so all of it is clearly visible and readable. If when removing the permit, a sticky film remains on the glass, numerous cleaning materials will easily remove that film so don’t improperly display the permit to avoid this issue. Motorcycle riders will have to place the permit “Face Down” on the left-front fork.

Transferable Permits – These permits are intended for those persons who may be parking one of two possible vehicles on campus. A maximum of two vehicles are allowed on each transferable permit. Two smaller stickers accompany one “Hanging” permit. Place the smaller stickers in the same location as the single vehicle permit, one on each vehicle listed on the Parking Permit Application. To be within regulations, the vehicle being parked on campus must have both the smaller sticker and the “Hanging” permit displayed. Any vehicle that displays the smaller sticker or the hanging permit alone will be subject to citation. As should be easily deduced by now, only one vehicle listed on a transferable permit can be parked legally on campus at a time.

Temporary Permits – In the event a person drives a different vehicle than the one a permit was issued for, or any person is on campus for a short period of time, temporary parking permits are available. Contact security to acquire one. Temporary permits are for temporary use only, so, don’t plan to have one for the entire semester.

Short-term Permits – Short-term permits are available for classes with duration of eight weeks or less. These permits cost $15 each and have a code affixed to it, which allows Security Officers to determine the period the permit was issued for. Two vehicles may be listed and included.

Employee Permits – Staff, Faculty, Associate Faculty, Interns, Volunteers and contracted service providers may be issued a free Employee Parking permit. This permit allows open access to the designated “Employee” parking area. This parking lot is clearly posted. Regular staff and/or faculty who wish to park in the General Parking lot full time must purchase the proper permit or be subject to citation. If it is necessary to use a loading zone, feel free to do so but your vehicle will need to be moved to the employee lot after loading /unloading. All parking regulations applicable to employees will be enforced on both Flagstaff Campuses at all times without exception.

Handicap parking – Parking is reserved for persons who possess either a state issued Handicap Parking Placard, or are operating a vehicle that displays a Handicap License Plate. Any staff, faculty or student fitting these criteria may use the spaces provided, but must also possess a Parking Permit issued by the college. The college will not provide “Temporary” handicap passes, as these spaces are governed by state regulations and laws. If you are temporarily incapacitated, please contact security and we will park and retrieve your vehicle for you.

Visitor Parking – The College provides limited parking spaces reserved for visitors only. Staff, faculty, students and those who are on campus on a regular basis or that drive a vehicle that has a permit issued to it are not considered visitors, and may be cited if parked in visitor spaces. Parking in visitor parking is limited to 30 minutes.

Hours of Control – Unless otherwise posted, stated by security or advertised, parking regulations are in effect and enforced 24 hours a day, Monday through Friday. This applies to both the Lone Tree and Fourth Street campuses in Flagstaff.

Invalidating a Permit – Parking permits are the property of Coconino Community College and may be invalidated, revoked, confiscated, canceled or recalled. Campus security holds the authority to invalidate or cancel a parking permit. All permits are permanently assigned to the purchaser and may not be transferred to another. Any fines incurred are the responsibility of the person the permit was issued to, or the person who applied for a permit. Examples of circumstances that may result in the revocation of a permit include, but are not limited to:

  • The permit is used by an unauthorized person or in an unauthorized manner,
  • A parking permit application is falsified,
  • A driver intentionally disregards a Security Officer’s instruction not to park of drive through designated areas,
  • A check or draft used to pay for the permit is returned as not collectable,
  • The individual associated with the college is terminated or ends their association with the college,
  • Five or more citations are issued within a single twelve-month period to the permit holder.

Multiple Citation Abuse – Vehicles identified as having three (3) or more outstanding parking citations may be subject to immobilization if located anywhere on campus. If no parking permit has been paid for and issued to the operator of that vehicle, one must be purchased. The immobilizing boot will not be removed until all fines are paid and a permit has been purchased and issued.

Parking permits are required at all CCC Flagstaff Campuses

To promote the safe and orderly parking of vehicles and bicycles within the boundaries of Coconino Community College campuses, and for the safe and orderly movement of traffic therein, moving violations and parking regulations are enforced. These procedures are primarily to ensure an orderly and fair allocation and use of available space for our customer, the student.

  • A copy of CCC’s Parking and Vehicular Traffic Procedure, #121.13 can be obtained by contacting College Security.  Lack of knowledge of these procedures will not be accepted as grounds for citation dismissal.  If you have questions, please contact College Security.

Hours of control

Parking permits and regulations for both Flagstaff Campuses are in effect and enforced twenty-four (24) hours a day, Monday through Friday.

Permits are issued for a single academic year.  The academic year is defined as the beginning of classes in August until the beginning of classes the next August.
