PTK Mission Statement


"The purpose of Phi Theta Kappa shall be to recognize and encourage scholarship among two-year college students. To achieve this purpose, Phi Theta Kappa shall provide opportunity for the development of leadership and service, for an intellectual climate for exchange of ideas and ideals, for lively fellowship for scholars, and for stimulation of interest in continuing academic excellence."

Scholarships

University of Arizona Three renewable full resident tuition waivers plus a $1,000 scholarship is available for The University of Arizona in Tucson. Contact Dr. Patricia MacCorquodale, Dean of the University Honors College at honors@honors.arizona.edu or (520) 621-6901 or visit the university website http://www.honors.arizona.edu.

Phi Theta Kappa has a scholarship listing institutions which offer scholarships exclusively for PTK members. There are more than 550 institutions in 49 states, the District of Columbia and Canada which offer $34 million in scholarships to qualifying Society members. For more information, visit the PTK site at http://www.ptk.org.

In addition, this local chapter often has information on scholarships available to members.
