305-01 INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY—PROCEDURE
1. PURPOSE
To determine the rights associated with the creation or invention of Intellectual Property.

Author shall refer to the person who creates or invents Intellectual Property.

Intellectual Property shall refer to creative or scholarly work protected by or eligible for protection by, patent, copyright, trademark or trade secret laws. Intellectual Property includes, but is not limited to, creative works in traditional or technology based media, inventions, software programs, the content and presentation of materials using Internet, web or video technology, documents and lab manuals.

The President or designee is responsible for administrative matters relating to Intellectual Property and shall represent the College in all matters of policy affecting the College’s relations with Authors, government agencies, private sector entities, and the public.

Ownership of Intellectual Property will be determined by multiple factors including, but not limited to, the use of College time, funds and/or facilities.

The division of revenues will be determined by the ownership of the Intellectual Property.
