 303-01 ACADEMIC STANDARDS—PROCEDURE

1. PURPOSE

The purpose of Academic Standards is to create, maintain, and promote academic excellence across the learning college environment through an integrated system of balances and College wide representation. Academic Standards expresses College philosophy, core values, and expectations toward student achievement of educational objectives.

2. PROCEDURE

1.            The College maintains an Academic Standards Committee which evaluates and recommends academic policies and procedures for the college.

2.            The Academic Standards Committee makes recommendations regarding policies and procedures on such matters as:

a.            Admissions requirements

b.            Registration requirements

c.            Academic requirements

d.            Student academic records

e.            Graduation requirements

f.             Catalog choice

g.            Transfer of credits

h.            Attendance

i.              Grading

j.              Grade appeals

k.            Academic integrity

l.              Academic progress

m.           Standards that must be published in the College catalog, Student Code of Conduct, or other publications

n.            Student Support Services as they relate to academic standards
