About CCC

Coconino Community College was established in Flagstaff, Arizona in 1991 and currently serves all of Coconino County, covering an immense 18,000-square-mile area.

When CCC first opened its doors, nearly 1,000 students enrolled at the Flagstaff campus in the first semester. More than 20 years later, the College has experienced an astounding growth rate and today serves nearly 10,000 learners per year with three main campuses: Flagstaff Lone Tree Campus; Flagstaff Fourth Street Campus and Page/Lake Powell Campus. The College also offers classes in Fredonia, Grand Canyon/Tusayan, Tuba City, and Williams.

CCC provides its learners with affordable tuition rates and more 60 certificates & degrees, including nursing, fire science, detention officer academy and early childhood education, which directly impacts the health and safety of Coconino County residents. Many classes transfer to four-year universities. Classroom instruction is located on-campus, on-line and through interactive TV (ITV).

One of the more innovative programs initiated by the College through a cooperative agreement with Northern Arizona university is the CCC2NAU program. www.CCC2NAU.info is a practical way to smooth the student’s path toward a bachelor’s degree with tailored advisement, institutional collaboration, and a seamless transition from CCC to NAU.

Additionally, CCC offers contract training, continuing education and life-long learning courses within the Community and Corporate Learning Division (CCL). CCL serves the northern Arizona business community and contributes to northern Arizona’s economic vitality through four distinct entities: Corporate Training, Contract Training, Continuing Education units and Workforce Development. The Small Business Development Center (SBDC) also falls under the Community and Corporate Learning umbrella, with classes and workshops designed to help small businesses succeed.

CCC is funded by 44% tuition and fees, 40% local property tax, 11% state aid and 5% from other sources. The college is governed by a five-member elected District Governing Board.
