104 AMERICANS WITH DISABILITIES ACT (ADA) POLICY
Coconino Community College will initiate and maintain programs and efforts which are required under the provisions of the Americans With Disabilities Act (ADA) which establishes a clear, comprehensive federal prohibition of discrimination against persons with disabilities. The College will ensure compliance with applicable building standards for existing, new and remodeled owned structures, development of standards of compliance for non-owned structures, and support for the on-going process of reasonable accommodation to applicants, employees, students, and the general public using or seeking to use College facilities and services.
The College will prohibit discrimination against a qualified individual with a disability in regard to hiring, compensation, advancement, training, and other terms or conditions of employment and termination. The College will provide a reasonable accommodation to the known physical or mental limitation of a qualified applicant or employee with a disability unless it can show that the accommodation would impose an undue hardship on the College.
