The State of Arizona has allocated more than $400,000 to Coconino Community College to boost efforts in Science, Technology, Engineering, Math (STEM).
"Coconino Community College thanks Gov. Jan Brewer and the Arizona Legislature for showing their support for STEM education," said Jami Van Ess, CCC's Vice President of Business & Administrative Services. "STEM education will continue to play a critical role in the education of Arizona's college students as they prepare for the workforce."
The College will receive $426,900, as part of Arizona's FY 2015 budget to be used primarily for the Math program and salaries for math instructors, Van Ess said.
