Spanish Proficiency Exam
The Spanish placement test is given by appointment only. Please call 226-4301 or 226-4206 for appoinment information. Computerized proficency for Spanish is required for all Spanish courses above SPA101, unless you verify proof of prerequisite with the Office of Admissions with one of the following:
Transferable college credits in Spanish with a grade of "C" or better within the 5 years previous to date of enrollment.
A record within the last two years of previous proficiency assessment at CCC.
Spanish test scores placement:

23 or below: SPA 101
|
24 to 30: SPA 102
|
31 to 35: SPA 201 |
To place into SPA 202, the Reading Level 2 exam must be completed as well. |

21 or below: place into SPA 201

22 or higher: place into SPA 202 | If score is higher than 30, see Department Chair for placement. |
