Candidate Eligibility and Identification Requirements

Eligibility:

1. The Candidate must be at least 16 years old.

2. The Candidate must not be enrolled in any accredited High School.

3. The Candidate must not have been awarded a High School Diploma or Equivalency Certificate.

4. Home-schooled Candidates must provide an Official Notice of Withdrawal from the District Superintendent's Office. 

5. Candidates under the age of 18 must provide the following:

a. Notarized parental consent. (click on link for form)

b. An official withdrawal letter from the last school attended.

6. Candidates who transfer from another testing center such as NAU, or who need to retake a test must provide unofficial transcripts when registering. 

7. Candidates must present an original CCC receipt for the exam fees. The exam fee is subject to change without notice. 

8. Candidates must present 2 acceptable forms of ID during registration for the GED.

IDENTIFICATION: ID is required to take GED exams. Acceptable forms of PHOTO ID MUST contain:

Photograph

Address

Birth Date

Signature

Potentially acceptable forms of Photo ID may include:

Valid AZ Driver's License	Valid Military ID	Valid Passport
Valid State ID - (AZ or other)	Other US Government ID	Valid Foreign Government ID

Secondary forms of ID may include:

Certified copy of your Birth Certificate	High school photo ID
Social Security card	Workplace photo ID

 Unacceptable forms of ID include:

Check cashing card	Library card	Letter from a consulate
Insurance card	Tourist card	Costco card
