Web Development Workshops
The Information Technology Department
offers a wide variety of Web Development Workshops for the novice to advanced Web
Developer.Workshops are open to CCC Faculty and
Staff. If you have student workers or interns who will be assisting your course,
department, or office in creating and maintaining web pages, they are welcome to attend
our workshops. For student workers and interns, a memo from their supervisor will
have to be submitted to the CCC Web Technology Coordinator.
NOTE: There are limited
spaces available for these workshops. There
is a maximum of 4 people per workshop.
Training Sessions will be held in the Information Technology Training Room located near
the Staff Lounge.
Periodic workshops and training sessions will be
held at the Page Campus during the semester.
RSVP the Web Technology Coordinator by filling out our Web Workshop Request Form or via phone at (520) 527-1222,
ext.#342. If you call to RSVP, please provide the day, date, and time of the
workshop you wish to attend. It is recommended that you RSVP 24 hours in advance
before the workshop.
The IT Department has set aside 4 additional hours of
training for people who cannot attend the published workshops.

Introduction
to Web Design
Duration: 2.0 hours
Description:
Learn about the basics of creating web pages with Front Page 98 (web page editor).
Participants will be able to create their own web page (s)
and save them to the CCC Web Server. |
Intermediate
Web Design
Duration: 3.0 to 3.5 hours
Description:
Learn about creating a series of connected web documents (Web) by using Front Page 98
Themes. In this workshop, we will create a series of web pages, test them in the
Personal Web Server, and Publish the pages to the CCC Web Server. See how easy it is
to create your own web site!
Prerequisite:
Must have good working knowledge of using Front Page 98 or creating web pages. |
Web
Graphic Design
Duration: 3.0 to 3.5 hours
Description:
Learn about creating effective and aesthetically pleasing web graphics, including buttons
and image maps, that can be added to web pages. Participants will learn how to use Image
Composer, which is part of the Front Page 98 software package.
Prerequisite:
Must have good working knowledge of creating web pages. |
Optional Materials: For
the Web Page Development-Front Page Workshops, please bring text and graphics on a disk
that you would like to put into your web pages. Make sure that your files are
compatible with Office 97 products (Access, Excel, MS Word 97) or Word Perfect 5.0 - 6.0.
