At the 2006 Fall Faculty Retreat, the CCC Faculty Committee formed the Faculty Evaluation Task Force with the charge improving the current Faculty Evaluation Process.

The Task Force has created five components for the Process.   These do not contain the feedback received from the May or August faculty retreats.  Below is a brief summary of each component:

• The Self-Evaluation allows you to create goals for the year and keep track of your progress.
• Classroom Observations allow a colleague to observe you in the teaching environment and provide feedback from their impression of your performance.
• Peer Evaluations allow someone at the college (any staff member that you choose) to comment on your performance in college-related duties other than teaching.
• Student Evaluations allows student feedback.  We’ve tried to shorten this down to a single page.
• The Supervisor Evaluation serves as a check-list, demonstrating that the other components have been accomplished, and allows the supervisor to comment on your progress for the year.
