What is an Adjunct Faculty position?
Adjunct Faculty positions are part-time temporary positions. Adjunct faculty conduct classroom instruction
in accordance with course outlines supplied by the college.
They tailor teaching methods to the needs of the students
and subject matter.

Application process to meet Coconino Community College (CCC) credential requirements.
All interested individuals MUST submit a completed application, supplemental credentials form and legible, unofficial transcripts that indicate the degrees conferred for all college/ university academic preparation. Official transcripts will be required for all full time and adjunct faculty at the time of hire. Application materials for Full-Time Faculty will only be accepted for open, posted positions. Adjunct Faculty Positions are open on a continuing basis and are accepted at any time. A detailed résumé and/or cover letter describing how the applicant’s education, training, and experience directly relate to the listed minimum/desired qualifications and job description is highly recommended. Within one year of hire, one of the following must be successfully completed: CCC course EDU 250, NAU course CC 580, a minimum of five (non-credit) learning modules, or another (preapproved) course in delivery of community college academic programs and courses. If you obtained the Arizona Lifetime Community College Teaching Certificate (unavailable after 2001), a copy of it will also satisfy the above course requirement. Application materials for Adjunct Faculty Positions will be kept active for one year.

Minimum qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in the field of specialization and/or occupational experience. Certain disciplines require special certifications, licenses, or upper level or graduate coursework. Master’s degrees are preferred for academic, transfer programs and courses. Occupational or vocational fields require comprehensive experience in the field of specialization. All disciplines require the ability to meet all CCC credential requirements. CCC adheres to the standards set by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association (NCA) .
