Insurance Carrier:
Coconino Community College's health insurance carrier is Blue Cross Blue Shield
of Arizona. The College offers health
insurance benefits to all regular full-time faculty and
staff through membership in the Northern Arizona Public
Employees Benefit Trust (NAPEBT). The plan provides
a combination of hospital, surgical and major medical expense
benefits to participants and their eligible dependents.

Insurance Cost:
The College pays 100% of the premium for the employee who elects basic coverage. There are three plans you can choose from for medical coverage: Base, Buy-up or High Deductible Health Plan. Coverage begins the first of the month following completion
of a full calendar month of employment.
Insurance Enrollment Period
When
can dependent coverage be added or removed from medical
or dental insurance?
Dependents may be added or removed within 30 days of a
qualifying event. If there has been no qualifying
event, such changes may only be made during the annual enrollment
period.
When
is the annual enrollment period?
The annual enrollment period is during the month of May for changes effective in July,
each year.
What
is a qualifying event?
Qualifying events for the purpose of changing health or
dental coverage include: change in martial status, birth
or adoption of a child, change in employment status or other
major life event. Contact Human Resources with changes no later than 30 days after experiencing a qualifying life event.
