Environmental Science: AS Degree

The Associate of Science in Environmental Sciences is designed for transfer to the Environmental Sciences bachelor's degree at the three Regents Universities. Students completing this degree will transfer 60-64 credits to the three Regents Universities. This degree includes AGEC-S, which is transferable to all Arizona public universities. Requirements differ significantly among state universities. Students should see an advisor to plan their program of study to avoid transfer difficulties.

The outcomes identified below define the knowledge and skill sets
that graduates will possess at the end of their program of study

  • Demonstrate skills necessary to conduct scientific investigations.
  • Demonstrate scientific literacy as it pertains to Environmental Science, particularly how changes in environment affect ecosystem structure.
  • Demonstrate critical thinking and deductive reasoning.
  • Demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively.
  • Demonstrate the use and application of models in building a scientifically supported framework.
