Community Forum -- October 2006

Thanks everyone who attended and/or gave input, and thanks to GCUSD and the high school for hosting the event. Here is what we learned.

  • Courses needed: Adult education classes in English and other subjects (including for parents); classes on computers, business, food services, management and leadership; and special high school programs.
  • More information from CCC: More advertising, publicity, and information on what is offered and how to access courses.
  • Partnerships: Promote all educational and training options for the communities.
  • Services and technology: Improve computers and Internet connection; e-mail for students; better ways to get books and information; clarify roles of employees.
  • Teaching and assisting opportunities: Explore and if possible create opportunities to teach, tutor, or assist with classes
