Scholarship Opportunities 2012 - 2013

The Coconino Community College Foundation, a separate 501 (c)(3)       non-profit organization, is responsible for the management and distribution of funds to support College programs and scholarships. 

For the 2011-2012 academic year, the CCC Foundation proudly awarded 40 scholarships totaling $45,164.  These scholarship dollars are awarded to CCC students who go back into the communities we serve and support CCC.  All of our donors are generous and we thank them from the bottom of our hearts.

CCC Foundation Scholarship Opportunities:

The CCC Online Scholarship Application period for the current 2012-13 academic year closed on March 31, 2012.  Applications are currently being reviewed and award recipients will be notified in May of 2012.

Students wishing to apply for the 2013-14 academic year may do so during the Spring semester in 2013.  Please bookmark this webpage and check back in January 2013 for access to the CCC Online Scholarship Application. 

ANTELOPE POINT MARINA SCHOLARSHIP

• Have and maintain a cumulative 2.0 GPA or higher
• Enrolled in 6.0 credit hours or more
• Attended college, high school, technical school or obtained a GED within the last six months
• Must be a member of LeChee Chapter Community
• Submit at least one letter of recommendation

APS SCHOLARSHIP

• Have and maintain cumulative 2.0 GPA or higher
• Enrolled in 6.0 credit hours or more
• Be degree or certificate seeking
• Have an academic major declared

CCC 2 NAU RAYMOND EDUCATIONAL FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP

• Must be in the CCC 2 NAU Program
• Have and maintain a cumulative 3.0 GPA or higher
• Demonstrated interest in continuing education at NAU

CCC EMPLOYEE-FUNDED SCHOLARSHIP

• Have and maintain cumulative 2.0 GPA or higher
• Enrolled in 6.0 credit hours or more
• Must be a single parent
• Applicant NOT required to be a CCC employee

CITY OF WILLIAMS, AZ SCHOLARSHIP

• Have and maintain a cumulative 2.5 GPA or higher
• Enrolled in 6.0 credit hours or more
• Must be a resident of Williams, AZ

COLOR COUNTRY ART SCHOLARSHIP

• Enrolled in 6.0 credit hours or more
• One course must be ART 190
• Fine Arts Major
• Scholarship provides art supplies for ART 190 course

DENNIS M. CONNELL SCHOLARSHIP

• Have and maintain cumulative 2.5 GPA or higher
• Enrolled in 6.0 credit hours or more
• High school diploma or GED
• Declared major in Public Safety, Law, Allied Health, Fire Science, or Criminal Justice fields

DREAM KEEPER SCHOLARSHIP

• Have and maintain cumulative 2.5 GPA or higher
• Enrolled in 6.0 credit hours or more
• 25 years or older
• Demonstrated financial need (FAFSA)

PAULETTE JOY DUPREY SCHOLARSHIP

• Have and maintain cumulative 2.5 GPA or higher
• Enrolled in 6.0 credit hours or more
• Enrolled in Business Administration Associates Degree program
• Maximum of 2 semester awards, non-renewable
• Short essay on 2-4 year goals REQUIRED

JD FEIGHNER HONORARY SCHOLARSHIP

• Have and maintain cumulative 2.5 GPA or lower at the discretion of the Disability Resources Coordinator
• Enrolled in 12.0 credit hours or more
• Only students with learning disabilities will be considered

FLAGSTAFF ROTARY CLUB SCHOLARSHIP

• Have and maintain cumulative 3.0 GPA or higher
• High school graduate or GED
• Degree or certificate-seeking student

THERESA GIVENS - SOROPTIMIST INTERNATIONAL OF AZ PEAKS SCHOLARSHIP

• Have and maintain cumulative 2.5 GPA or higher
• Enrolled in 9.0 credit hours or more
• Seeking Associate Degree with intent to complete Bachelor Degree through another institution
• Must be a resident of Coconino County
• Demonstrated community service participant
• Demonstrated financial feed (FAFSA)

LARRY GOLTZ MEMORIAL ACCOUNTING SCHOLARSHIP

• Have and maintain cumulative 3.0 GPA or higher
• Enrolled in or indicated a major in Accounting
• Completed a minimum of 12 semester hours at CCC

HARTZELL FOUNDATION HIGH SCHOOL SCHOLARSHIP

• Have and maintain cumulative 2.5 GPA or higher
• Enrolled in 12.0 credit hours or more
• High school graduate
• Must be a resident of Coconino County
• Demonstrated participation in community service or extra-curricular activities

K. & G.W. SCHOLARSHIP

• Have and maintain cumulative 2.0 GPA or higher
• Enrolled in a CCC Vocational Program

MARSHALL KNOLES SCHOLARSHIP

• Have and maintain cumulative 2.5 GPA or higher
• Enrolled in 12.0 credit hours or more
• Preference given to Coconino County residents, second preference to Arizona residents
• Single parent or returning student 25 years or older
• Demonstrated financial need (FAFSA)

JASON KURTZ NURSING SCHOLARSHIP

• Have and maintain cumulative 3.0 GPA or higher
• Enrolled in 9.0 credit hours or more
• Applying for admission to, accepted in, or enrolled in CCC Nursing Program
• Must be classified as Arizona state resident
• Demonstrated participation or 20+ volunteer hours in Northern Arizona within two years prior to application
• REQUIRED: personal letter MUST address experience or knowledge of Oncology and/or Hospice nursing fields.  Please write about this topic as a portion of the standard online scholarship application essay.
