Computer Software Technology: AAS Degree

The Computer  Software Technology program is designed to prepare students for entry-level positions requiring computer application software skills.  The program offers emphases in PC Technician, Graphic and Web Design, General Technology  and Application Software Specialist. The outcomes identified below define the knowledge and skill sets
that graduates will possess at the end of their program of study.

• Apply the principles of effectively using computer related terminology.

• Understand and apply the principles of microcomputer operating systems, professional office suite applications, desktop publishing, software, web browsers and electronic mail.

• Understand the principles of legal and ethical issues related to the workplace.

• Understand the principles of programming and the ability to apply them using a programming language.
